I get just as excited as the next guy, when the weather finally starts to warm up. Seriously, its in my DNA, I am from Buffalo, New York – once those snow piles turn to mush we all dance in the streets! (Have you seen our St. Patrick’s Day parade celebrations?) Anyway, this week has been warm & along with letting the kids RUN for the first time in months – I started finding some fun spring time crafts for us to do.
I know for a lot of the school-aged kids, spring break is right around the corner. There are so many great ideas out there to keep the kids busy. But I know most parents don’t have the time to sift through all of Pinterest! So I did it for you! Below, I gathered a few of my favorite ideas. Activities, snacks, egg decorating, & basket ideas. Check them out, and if you want to see more click over to my “get ready for SPRING” board on Pinterest.
DIY Easter Egg Garland
Both of my girls LOVE to color and watercolor paint. And I love a great free printable!
Bunny Treat Boxes
These would be perfect for the kids table at Easter!
Pom Pom Painting
What an easy way to mix up just “plain” painting.
Easter Counting Mats
How about this adorable themed printable set. Perfect table activity while prepping dinner. Also check out the other Easter toddler activities at the end of link.
Easter Coloring & Matching
More coloring pages, but this link has a printable matching egg game as well!
Easter Muddy Buddies
Muddy Buddies are one of my all time favorite treats! Plus they are easy enough, and don’t require too much from the kitchen, so even the littles can help!
Bunny Cookie Bark
Looks like the perfect mix of sweet and salty!
We are a huge fan of popcorn. A new snack the girls really love, and I am guessing adding in all the colorful bits will make them love it more!
Personally I am not a fan of Twinkies or Peep (Sorry!) but these look crazy cute! I am thinking they are definitely “kids table” worthy.
Check this post out, warm eggs right from the boiling water & you use a crayon while they are still warm. Brilliant if you ask me!
Using Shaving Cream
This looks like a really fun & easy way to decorate your eggs!
Using a Sharpie
I am a big fan of Sharpie, and these are adorable!
No Candy Easter Eggs
With my first Easter with kids, I had a hard time finding any ideas that didn’t involve candy & junk food. Treats & sweets are great, but there are so many other ideas!
Toddler Basket Ideas
Toddlers can be the hardest to fill a basket for, you don’t want to spend a fortune either. Bonus this link has an updated link with another 100 ideas!
Books are an amazing gift for any occasion, and I love that these are all Easter themed, perfect for any child’s Easter basket.
101 Easter Basket Ideas
You can’t have too many basket ideas, this one is geared towards older kids.
