This is a sponsored post, thanks to Moms Meet and NoGii for giving me an opportunity to test out and review these natural products. This was an amazing package to unpack, and I was excited to start tasting!

NoGii is a product line started by Elizabeth Hassleback, with the main concept that living a gluten-free life should not be a burden on anyone. Which is why all of the NoGii products are family friendly, and everyone (gluten-free or not) would enjoy. All of these products are of course, gluten-free but also non-GMO, some of them are dairy free, some are nut free, & some are soy free. But what they all have in common is that they are DELICIOUS!

While my family does not have special dietary concerns, we are a very active family. I always have snacks tucked away for when one of us gets hungry between meals. I loved Tina Fey’s commercial that made “hangry” a word people understood, because when hunger hits, I’m THE worst offender! So to see this huge assortment of healthy, good for you, protein packed, and on-the-go products, it most definitely fit my lifestyle perfectly.

Please note: All flavors listed are direct links to the NoGii store. This is where you can purchase and read more on all of these products. Note that the second image listed for each product is the nutritional label and ingredients.
(These links are non-affiliated, and I am in no way reimbursed for any purchases you may make due to reading this review.)

Super Protein Bars These bars are specially formulated to meet the high needs of active men (think post workout), hence why they are very high in calories and protein. So I asked my dad to help me out with testing this product. He is an avid outdoors-men & often takes protein bars on his hunting & camping trips, so I knew his prior experience would help.  After sampling these, he called me and left a voicemail… No ‘hi how are ya’ nope, dad starting out right away with “HEY! These bars you gave me… are pretty awesome!” He goes on to say that the protein bars he usually packs, while they may have a bit more protein content in them, they “all taste really weird” and he doesn’t really enjoy them. He offered up his own ranking for the NoGii Super Protein bars by saying “I give them an 8.5 or 9 out of 10.”

Getting us all out the door and to our adventure, is a big job in the morning! So I tested this out as a kind of meal replacement bar, usually for my out-the-door-breakfast. While I would not recommend this as a regular idea for a meal, in a pinch they were perfect. Got me going, fueled me up, and with way less guilt than a donut at the drive through with my coffee! I also loved that these were a great option for my afternoon snack, which happened to be post workout as well. C{Review} Gluten-free options the whole family will love from NoGii -- Read more at MadeByMeggsDOTcom (3)hocolate Coconut was my all time favorite, all of my favorites rolled together! Even the Chocolate Mint was delicious, it actually tastes just like a thin mint! You can’t go wrong picking a flavor with any of these bars, and with high protein for an active mom, what else are you looking for?

Chocolate Coconut {230 calories & 17g protein}
Cocoa Brownie {220 calories & 20g protein}

No gluten, no dairy, no soy, no peanuts, no high fructose corn syrup, and no trans fats. NOG_Paleo_NAB_bar__00524.1414686893.1280.1280You know what you are eating is good, because you can recognize the contents on the label! Plus they taste great. My favorite was the Nuts About Berries, just a boat load of fruit mashed together into a perfect go-to snack. Filling and healthy, and I wasn’t concerned about “sketchy” ingredients when my toddlers asked for a bite of mom’s snack. Something the whole family can and will enjoy!

Nuts About Nuts {200 calories}
Nuts About Tropical Fruit {190 calories}

I actually tore open the bag immediately after unpacking it. I mean, “Chocolate Caramel Bliss” wouldn’t you? I love the flavor of course, but I also loved that they were a mere 120 calories. Which made them a perfect replacement for my “car ride granola bars.” Which are a staple in my car/purse/diaper bag/on my every person. Remember what I said earlier about me and “hangry” it’s not pretty! But this is a perfect snack to tide me over until my next meal. And they came out with a brand NEW flavor since I received these samples, so go check out Cookies & Creme Dream! YUM…

Protein Powder I blended up a post-workout Whey and Quinoa Vanilla Bean protein shake, after a decent workout and just before running out the door with my family for a party. With just a bit of ice, 1 cup of milk, and a tiny squirt of chocolate this was delish! It would be an easy addition to any smoothie or shake you already make at home. No gluten, of course, but also no sweeteners, no added colors, and no added flavors. It’s a great way to replenish and keep up with your active lifestyle!

  1. I’m going to have to go with the cookies and cream… and I know they would be great for after my daily workouts!

  2. Thinking I may try out the Cocoa Chololate Protien Powder. I love my Shakeology but the cost is astronomical and I find that it’s not as “filling” as it’s advertised to be. Thanks for the review Megg!!

  3. I would love to try the Cocoa Chocolate Protein Powder.
